The title says it all really.
People from the East End of London fight hordes of the living dead. So not that much different from every Saturday night…
By way of plot, it take a bunch of people, arms them to the teeth and they go to rob a bank. When they come out they find themselves in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Meanwhile, on the other side of town….
A group of old age pensioners find themselves under siege in their retirement home and have to fend them off.
The bank robbers go to rescue the OAPs for reasons that are made clear early on in the film.
There is nothing particularly new in this film, though the scene where old people hobble away from zombies hits the right notes.
It is a bit violent, a bit funny and a bit sentimental, being essentially a love letter to the East End.
It is pretty enjoyable and there are some very funny moments.
